Choosing the Best Pre-Workout Supplement

The dietary supplement industry has skyrocketed in growth over the last decade and one of the most popular supplement categories has been the pre-workout products. So many companies have jumped onboard and created products to help you maximize your performance in the gym. But, with the increasing popularity of pre-workout supplements, it has become quite difficult separating quality from junk and pinpointing the right product for you.

Learning what the top ingredients are and how they work to improve your performance is of utmost importance when making your supplement-buying decisions. Possessing this knowledge also provides with an new option: making your own pre-workouts right in the comfort of your home. All you need to do is pick up a bulk bottle of each ingredient that interests you and then blend it all up.

While it may be more convenient to use a ready-to-mix pre-workout, mixing your own blend of ingredients may better suit you because you'll be able to control which ingredients you consume and how much of them you put into your body. Plus, you can save your body from potentially harmful additives and coloring that are present in most ready-to-mix pre-workouts. But, regardless of whether you choose a ready-made blend or mix up your own, you must know which ingredients to look out for and the recommended dosage of these ingredients.

The best bodybuilding pre-workout supplement ingredients are detailed in the following three-parted article:

Mr. Olympia Phil Heath Appearing at TNA Wrestling Bound for Glory

Three-time Mr. Olympia Phil Heath is set to cross over to the professional wrestling world at the TNA Wrestling Bound for Glory pay-per-view on October 19. This event, emanating from the Viejas Arena in San Diego, California, is TNA's biggest annual show. It is the promotion's version of Wrestlemania, albeit at a smaller scale.

This won't be the first time that a Mr. Olympia appears on a pro wrestling broadcast. In 1999, seven-time Mr. O champion Arnold Schwarzenegger appeared on WWE Smackdown. He interfered in the main event of the night and then laid some Smackdown of his own on then-WWE champion Triple H.

Bodybuilding and pro wrestling have always had crossover appeal and related fanbases. Many pro wrestlers began as bodybuilders, such as three-time Mr. USA Tony Atlas, while others used bodybuilding to develop their larger-than-life physiques, such as Hulk Hogan, The Ultimate Warrior and the aforementioned Triple H.

Heath will be participating in a posedown with TNA wrestlers Robbie E and Jesse in what is being dubbed the "Bro Off." These two wrestlers work as a tag team called the "Bro Mans" and Heath has been given the name "Big Bro" for the event. This will surely be an entertaining segment and the pro wrestling audience will get to witness one of the greatest Olympia champions in history pose-off, or in this case "Bro Off," inside the squared circle.

2013 has been an incredible year for Heath, from his starring role in Generation Iron, to his third consecutive Mr. O victory and, most recently, his first-ever Arnold Classic Europe title win. His appearance at Bound for Glory will cap a year that seems too difficult to top. But then again, Heath still has many more years left in his bodybuilding career and he's already met with comic book juggernaut Marvel within the past year. Is a starring role in a Marvel movie a possibility for Heath in the future? Who knows, but one thing is for sure, never doubt "The Gift."

Phil Heath Three-Peats at the 2013 Mr. Olympia

The 2013 Mr. Olympia took place on September 26 to 29 in Las Vegas, Nevada, and it was a historical contest to say the least. In the main event, the men's open bodybuilding was dominated by Phil Heath, who earned himself a third Sandow trophy. Heath was well ahead of the competition during the prejudging and he held his peak into the finals to secure his third consecutive win at the SuperBowl of bodybuilding.

Coming in second and in third were Kai Greene and Dennis Wolf, respectively. Greene came in slightly off during the prejudging, but regrouped for the finals and stepped onstage with much better conditioning. As for Wolf, he was the biggest surprise of the contest, making significant improvements in conditioning and coming in bigger than he ever has in the past.

For a recap and full results of the men's open bodybuilding competition at the 2013 Mr. Olympia, check out the following three parts:
In the 212-pound bodybuilding division, James Lewis edged out David Henry and Kevin English en route a second Olympia title. Henry and English finished in the second and third positions, respectively. All three of these competitors have won the lighter weight bodybuilding Olympia title, but Lewis is the only one to have won since the division was bumped up to 212 pounds.

As for the women, Iris Kyle and Adela Garcia made history on the same night. Kyle won a record ninth Ms. Olympia title and has established herself as the winning-most Olympia champion of all-time. Garcia, on the other hand, set the record for the most Fitness Olympia wins at eight.

In the women's figure division, Nicole Wilkins defeated her closest rival Erin Stern to earn her third Figure Olympia title. Wilkins and Stern have flipped-flopped victories at the Olympia for the past few years. And while the figure division has seen similar names in the winner's circle, the women's bikini division has had a different winner each year since its inclusion in the Olympia in 2010. This year saw 19 year old Ashley Kalwasser earn the nod and become the fourth-ever Bikini Olympia champion.

The 2013 Olympia featured two new divisions in men's physique and women's physique. Mark Anthony Wingston and Dana Linn Bailey emerged as the inaugural victors in their respective division. Both of these competitors have now set the standard for what the judges will be looking for in physique competitions.

Can You Gain Weight from Coffee?

Welcome to My DoFollow Blog! As a Big Thank You, I'd Like to Give You FREE Access to my "19 Tips to Build Muscle & Gain Weight" Report That Gives You The Key Ingredients For Success in YOUR all your workouts! ~ Marc David; CPT

Can you gain weight from coffee ?

What a peculiar question I thought.   Who would gain weight by simply drinking a cup of coffee?  Then I realized that maybe it’s not common knowledge about what types of coffee people are referring to or in particular, how that coffee is prepared.

Can You Gain Weight from Coffee IF:
… you drink straight black coffee (caffeinated or decaffeinated) without anything added?  The answer is NO.  Like drinking water, straight black coffee without any additives of any sort, contains no calories and therefore you cannot gain weight.  You might over consume caffeine or too much water but any weight will be purely water and expelled thru natural processes.

Can You Gain Weight from Coffee IF:
… you add in milk, sugar, dairy creamers, whipped cream, chocolate or any other type of additive that contains calories.  Adding in a single cube of white granulated sugar can add 9 calories.  A single cube isn’t much.  Add in some milk or creamer and you’ve added more calories.  Doing some simple math:
Brewed coffee with 2 tablespoons of half & half can equal 41 calories.  Not a big deal depending on who you are but it’s quite easy to consume enough to add in 100 calories per day.  100 calories a day, 7 days a week and you’ve got an extra 700 calories a week.
At first it might not seem like much but over the course of a month, you can easily add a pound or two of unwanted fat.
If you are at all into the fancy brewed coffees with milk, sugar and other additives, you can have a single drink that is over 320 calories!  That’s easily enough to gain weight.

You sure can IF you start adding in the various delicious substances available today.
I’m shocked that a single coffee with cream and sugar from Dunkin’ Donuts adds up to a whopping 120 calories!  Just 1 small a day and the weight gain would be minor but significant over time.  The quickest way to lose the weight if you have this type of habit is simply to find some great tasting straight black coffee (try 100% Kona; nice and expensive too) and you’ll lose weight by doing absolutely nothing.  Even consuming 1 less per day if you have a bigger habit that 1 small could make a significant difference over a month.

Sometimes but not always, the easiest way to burn fat without losing any muscle or exercising more is portion control.  You save a few bucks, you lose some weight and you literally do nothing different except to curb one habit, by one portion.  It may not be the miracle solution but it can make a difference depending on your current habit and consumption.

Can you gain weight from coffee just seemed like a strange question at the time but after some consideration from the various scenarios and given that many people are not aware of their portions, the calories in the beverages they consume or even the various additives, it became clear that something as simple as drinking coffee could put extra pounds on you over time.
The quick solution is to be aware of your coffee consumption and if you are using any additives (especially with calories of any sorts) to monitor your intake and adjust as necessary.
